Lisa Wunderlich started out as a hair stylist and has maintained her business Laguna Strands in Laguna Beach , since 1991. While giving women and men "great hair days", Laguna Strands has continually been a mecca for the latest styles in jewelry, clothing, accessories, and make-up as well. In 2006 Lisa decided to narrow her creative focus and broaden her jewelry business.
Lisa is characterized by her friends as many things - Optimistic, Empathic, and full of ideas. The way she lives her life is often seen as unconventional. She lives her life as if every day is her last. She can be described as nomadic as she travels from one project to another, and she is full of ideas and so excited to share them. These characteristics show in her unique jewelry designs.
Creativity is in Lisa's blood - creativity and design fulfill a passion within. Lisa credits her family for her creativity. Her parents and sister are all entrepreneurs. Her mother maintained a seaside boutique for many years while her father was an artist with a passion for painting. Lisa's sister, Amy, is a jewelry designer also. Her signature line corresponds to her love of the sea and nature. While Lisa's creative genes are in her most immediate family, she attributes much of her creativity and personality to her grandmother, Ruby. She was a Hungarian gypsy who wore bangle bracelets up to her elbows on both |

arms. She had a soulful and mystical way about her. Lisa believes her nomadic and unconventional way of life comes from Ruby.
Growing up in Laguna Beach, Lisa is a lover of the sea and it's Caribbean blue color. She says her favorite and most inspiring time is when the ocean sparkles and looks like there are diamonds on the water. Many of her diamond designs have in fact come at these favorite times. Lisa has a special talent in making custom jewelry pieces in just the right colors for skin tone, eye color, and hair color. "There is nothing more satisfying than having a custom-made piece in your colors and tones and have it just right." Lisa says. She knows that beautiful jewelry makes women feel beautiful, and this is her goal.
